About Me

Background:
I am so thankful to be a part of this ministry. I taught in another local Christian school for 17 years before coming to CBDS. During 15 of those years I was the Computer Applications Instructor. I graduated from Liberty Bible Institute in 1990, and received my Bachelor’s degree from Bethany Theological Seminary in 1994. I enjoyed learning so much that I continued working on my education. I received my Master of Christian Education in 1996, and I finally received my Doctorate in Christian Education in 2001, from New Hope Bible College. I have continued taking classes through the years because learning is fun. I have had MOUS certification from Microsoft, and have taken multiple technology courses from technical colleges. Before the Lord called me to be a teacher and sent me back to college, I worked in a local law firm. One of my many opportunities there was to teach computer applications to other employees.

Family:
My wonderful husband, Tim, and I were married in August of 1974. The Lord blessed us with two sons, Jon and Chris.

Life Verse:
I have never picked out just one particular verse as a life verse. So many passages in God’s Word have been precious and comforting to me through the many situations in which He has placed me. However, there is a verse in Psalm 100 that I want others to see in me. That verse is Psalm 100a, which tells me to “Serve the Lord with gladness.”

Did you Know?
Several years ago, I traveled with a group to Kenya and Uganda to help set up Bible training centers. Many of the nationals who have trained in these centers are now pastors of churches and are spreading the Gospel to their people.
